In Mr. Hakim's class we are suppose to read these books and the book I'm reading is Last Shot by John Feinstein. This book is about a kid that loves to write about basketball and what happens in the games. There is this writing place that Steven heard about and enter this competition its called USWBA. One day he gets a letter saying "We are proud to tell you that you are one of the winners you will be competing against another winner". So what happens is there is a girl named Susan Carol and she is also one of the winners so they both go to all the games and write about it and whoever writes the best about the game will win the competition. It will also be published in a magazine a basketball magazine. I really like the way Steven writes he has good word choice and he builds up the suspense in what happens in the game. Susan shes a good writer to but she puts the suspense at the wrong time but she does have really good word choice. So Susan and Steven is watch the games meet some of the coaches and talks to them. They also talk to the big players and feel how they did and if they think they played your best. I don't want to tell you what happens at the end like who wins because you will have to read the book and see. I really do like reading this book it was a good one and I'm thinking about reading more of John Feinstein he has good word choice and hes a good writer.
